What would happen if you crossed Midnight Oil with Big Star?", asked Supermodels. And nobody answered, so they tried it themselves. Adding in a healthy dash of the British class of '77 (Clash, Jam, Costello, Buzzcocks), the 'Mods sound was born. And now they've made an album - and a pretty good one by some estimations. Titled SUPERMODERN, it brings the best of the band's power-pop/new wave/punk ambitions to life, with dashes of glam, country and indie rock thrown in for good measure too.
