LINA 'Sucker' LP

‘SUCKER’ is the debut 11 track album by alt-soul-pop artist LINA. LINA is your typical not so typical city gal who was Melbourne born but grew up along the shores of the Great Ocean Road, often splitting her time between the two. “Sonically, it’s a narratorial undulation from shifting driving house beats and euphoric electronic production to melting piano riffs and LINA’s abyssal melodies and lyrics” says Jacob McCormack in the June issue of Beat Magazine.

LINA has previously been involved with projects Outtatime and The Fillmores and with 7 years of bands, gigs, a bachelors in song-writing and production and a plethora of music industry experience – LINA and this album will be her most nuanced and well honed representation of her sonic abilities yet! Although the album is characterised by an array of different styles and textures, each song serves its individual and collective purpose. Inspired greatly by the likes of Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote, Gorillaz and Fontaines DC – LINA hopes there is a song on there for everyone and anyone. This album, along with a deep personal growth through love, loving and being loved – is an ode to the mother-child bond and all the grief and joy that comes with it.
